Nexus One Waves Goodbye! [:(

Google has announced that on July 16th 2010 they have officially received the last order of Nexus One phones from HTC.  Most people have tried to point out that this is a failure of the Android system but in fact it is just the opposite.  The whole basis of the Nexus One was to jumpstart the Android OS.  The Android OS did get it’s jumpstart and is responsible for the activation of 160,000+ phones per day.

The Nexus One will still be available but no longer through Google and no longer in the United States.  It will be available through Vodafone in Europe, KT in Korea, and a slight possibility of T-Mobile in the US.

The change in inventory at Google is most likely due to the fact that other Android systems sold at wireless carriers have been more successful such as the HTC EVO 4G and the Droid X.  The phone is also being phased out as it is old technology and has been outpaced by other platforms.

Google will still support its Nexus One customers and would like to thank each and every one of you Android Fan’s
